I was recently given the opportunity to spread the word after trying the newest line of Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions. Since I am a big fan of skincare as well as a Burt's Bees lover, I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to blog about a few of my loves. Before I begin reviewing the products that I was sent, I should probably tell you about my skin in relation to the products. I have always had "Normal" skin but as I get older, I am starting to realize that my skin can be a little sensitive at times too. This gives me a little leeway when purchasing skin care items.

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin is a new line of natural products which are formulated to cleanse and moisturize your skin without causing redness and irritation. This particular line is infused with Cotton Extract which help to soften and help the skin's outer layer, is fragrance-free, hypo-allergenic, dermatologist-tested, allergy-tested, and 99% natural! It can be found in mass retailers such as Target or Walmart along with drug stores, grocery stores, and natural health food stores nationwide.
|Sensitive Facial Cleanser|
I really enjoyed the sensitive skin facial cleanser because it felt very mild on the skin and almost felt like it was moisturizing as it was cleansing. I think this is attributed to the cotton extract, rice extract, and aloe which is included in the cleanser. These three ingredients help to soften, moisturize, and soothe the skin. The only thing that I did not like initially is the lotion feel when washed off of the face. This may be because I am used to the Acne Solutions line which is infused with Salicylic Acid, which is derived from Willow Bark Extract. The formulation of the Acne Solutions line is a light liquid type texture and when washed off of the face, feels very squeaky clean as if all dirt and residue is removed. The Salicylic Acid almost completely breaks the barrier of any type of oil. This Sensitive Skin line, however, removes dirt, oil, and makeup but prevents over-drying which is also nice. It, in fact, creates a nice natural foaming lather. They both work well on the skin, just have different formulations so I would buy strictly according to skin type. The price-point for this cleanser is $9.99.
|Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream|
DAILY MOISTURIZING CREAM
The moisturizing cream felt very nice and creamy when applied to the face. It was also very refreshing and not too thick or thin like some moisturizers tend to be. This product also contains Rice Extract to moisturize and Aloe to soothe the skin. It's Non-Comedogenic and won't clog pores. The only thing that I'm a bit confused about is the fact that it's a day cream and I generally like to use my moisturizer every morning along with some nights. I did also use it at night and it seemed to work just as well. I later found out that they also have a Sensitive Night Cream so that may be why they have the two separated. This Sensitive Daily Moisturizer retails for about $14.99 and works just like a normal moisturizer in my opinion. I just really enjoy the fact that it is 99% natural and doesn't seem to be extra oily or extra watery. It's just right. Oh, and did I mention that it comes with a pump??? Awesome!
Burt's Bees continuously delivers amazing natural products and I love the thought they put into their skincare lines. I also failed to mention that their package is always simple but lovely. The signature yellow framing, green highlight, and red text for titling always adds a nice touch. I just love anything Burt's Bees to be honest. Lastly, US Consumers name Burt's Bees in the top five green brands in the 2010 and 2011 ImagePower Green Brands Survey. How can you go wrong?
Have you tried any Burt's Bees products and how has your experience been? Let me know if you have!
