Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle | Nutmeg & Spice!

Hey Divas & Gents,

It is no secret that Bath & Body Works has been a sweet addiction of mine for such a long time! It has been so bad that I've been known to be able to decipher all of the scents with my eyes closed. I don't know what it is about Bath & Body Works, but I just love their products. It started off with the antibacterial soaps, then the amazing body lotions and body sprays, then the Wallflowers, then the lippies, and now the candles! They just have such a wide variety and there is just something so inviting about being in a B&BW store.

White Barn Nutmeg & Spice

I received the candle shown above in my Influenster Beauty Blogger Vox Box, and could not wait to light it. In fact, I couldn't wait and lit it as soon as I opened the box. I received the Nutmeg and Spice scent by White Barn Company. I initially thought that we were supposed to receive the new Bath & Body Works branded mini candles but somehow I ended up with a White Barn Company branded candle (which is also part of the B&BW line). It didn't bother me since the unique and cozy fragrance eventually blew me away. I really wish I would have taken advantage of the $10 coupon that was provided so that I could have gotten a full size 3-wick candle. There are so many fragrances I still want to try!

Now on to my thoughts about this candle...
This particular fragrance is so warm and inviting and is perfect for the fall/winter season. It's not too overpowering and it reminds me of the holiday season. It's a delightful combination of sweet, spicy, and cozy! I personally enjoy the mini sizes because it gives you the opportunity to put it in any nook and cranny of your room. Not only that, but it allows you to try different scents since they are always priced so well. These candles would also make great stocking stuffers, so stock up!

You can find these candles and all other Bath & Body Works products at: Make sure and give them a try!

What are your favorite products from Bath & Body Works? Have you tried their new mini candles? If so, which fragrance is your favorite?

Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin| Cleansing Lotion & Night Cream

Hey Divas & Gents,

Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin| Cleansing Lotion & Night Cream

It's time to start the Beauty Blogger Box Reviews! The first product that I've been dying to talk about is the Boots No. 7 products that were included in my box. I've always been a skincare buff so I was really excited to test this. The first product is the Boot No. 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion. I usually don't like cleansing lotions because I've never understood the concept of them and had bad experiences with residue being left on my skin. Ironically, I LOVE this cleansing lotion. It really does get all of the dirt and grime off of my face. I'm guilty of using a soap-based cleanser a few times after using this product, only because of my past skepticism. For the sake of the review, I finally gained faith and used it by itself and it worked wonders. It left my face very soft and clean. The best part of this cleanser is that it leaves your skin moisturized and doesn't leave the overly clean/dry feeling that you sometimes get with cleansers. I also loved the fact that it didn't irritate my eyes, but I would still be cautious since the eyes are considered a sensitive area of the face. I would also make sure and cleanse the eyeliner and mascara with a little more elbow grease. You don't want to go to sleep with clumpy eyelashes!

The Boots No. 7 Night Cream also proved to be an excellent part of the two step night regimen. It seemed to seal in the moisture and lasted well through the night. It is isn't heavy and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy which is a plus! Because the cream has glycerin, cocoa and shea butter, it really does replenish your skin and leave it feeling great in the morning! I would definitely recommend this product to someone who has normal skin like myself. It is formulated for normal/dry skin and I would give it a shot!

These products can be found in your local drugstore and beauty stores. You can also visit their website:

OOTN | Red Riding Hood -

Hello Divas & Gents,

I didn't get to go out for Halloween this year since it was mid-week, but I did play dress up for the 'Trick or Treaters' as well as post pictures on my social media sites. I figured I'd share some pictures with you since I got an overwhelmingly great response on this costume! I will definitely be rocking it again next year ;)

This costume was provided by and I couldn't be more thrilled for the opportunity. I intended on posting my opinion earlier but I didn't get a chance to wear my costume until Halloween. I highly recommend checking out this site because they are affordable, have an amazing selection, and have a wide variety of sizes, including plus sized costumes like the one I'm wearing. Not only that, but the quality of the costume is very good. It is very durable and not flimsy at all. The website is down temporarily due to damage from Hurricane Sandy but will be up and running again soon. However, you can still view all of the costumes and categories. WholesaleHalloweenCostumes would be an excellent website to order your unique costume for next year. I will definitely be purchasing from them in the future!

Enjoy the pictures!

Make sure and check out this additional link to their facebook page:

What do you think of my costume? What were you this year?

Exprimez-Vous Cosmetics | Contest & Show-n-Tell

Hello Divas & Gents,

There are quite a few big business ventures that I've been either working on or revamping. One of them is my YouTube sister's cosmetic line. She has been working on this for over 18 months and has finally launched her website and has begun selling products in her state of Louisiana. Several models have worn her products in fashion shows and they have also been used for bridal parties!

I had the pleasure of being appointed Manager of Exprimez-Vous which really surprised me. I was very happy to accept the position! My small graphic design company, ExpressivINK Media & Design has done some logos and design work for her so I was even more excited. We have a small team right now which consists of the Founder/CEO, Ebony Miller; Manager, Deena Akinrinsola (me); Facebook Promoter, Rasha Williams; Creativity Manager, Dannielle Miller Smith (Licensed MUA). We all bring unique and fun personalities to the table.

We have an awesome contest going on which you can find more details about by watching the video below. The contest ends October 15th so hurry and get your entries in!!! We also have a Beautie of the Month Contest every month so please check out our Facebook Page for details!

Casual OOTD | Snakes in the Grass! (Picture Heavy)

Hey Divas & Gents,

It seems like I've been really loving sequins and denim for weekend attire this summer. It's the perfect mix of dressy and casual! Not only that, but it's super comfy and makes me feel very chic. I recently posted this outfit of the day on my YouTube channel and wanted to share more details about it with you.

If you look closely at the tank top, you can see snakeskin print intertwined with the sequins. The denim motorcycle jacket was gifted from my best friend and adds the perfect pop of edge to the outfit! I calmed it down by wearing a pair of basic flared jeans and sequined embellished sandals. My accessories (shown below) match the outfit very nicely and each have their own flare. Take a look!

  • Basketball Wives Inspired Hoop Earrings - Always Your Way Earring Shop
  • Turqouise Beaded Bracelet - Local Beauty Supply Store
  • Vintage Leaf, Key, and Tassle Charm Bracelet - (You can also find it on eBay)
  • Rose Gold Watch - XOXO (Michael Kors Dupe/Replica)
  • Live, Love, Laugh (Silver, Bronze, Gold) Necklace - Gifted from the Bestie
Outfit Specs:
  • Motorcycle Style Denim Jacket - Gifted (from Rainbow I think?)
  • Denim Jeans - Dots or Burlington Coat Factory
  • Sequin Tank - Dots
  • Sequined Embelisshed Sandals - Payless

Creative Bioscience| 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge!

Hey Divas & Gents!

Today's post is a bit different from my usual beauty posts. It is on the taboo topic of WEIGHT LOSS! As some of you may know, I have been actively trying to lose weight and tone up my body. Some of you may wonder why I'm on this journey or even think that I don't need to lose weight. I am on this journey because I want to tone my body and be healthy both inside and out. It is very important that your outer beauty matches your inner beauty and I try my best to make sure that I take those steps. I have been incorporating more fruits and vegetables into my diet as well as limiting some of my white bread intake. I've also been exercising very vigorously (until recently when I started a new job which leaves me less time). I will start my regular exercise schedule back very soon!

In order to motivate myself, I decided to take on this 90 day contest and challenge where several bloggers are being sponsored to try out a product for detox, cleanse, or weight loss. I am choosing weight loss since that is what I am focusing on right now. I try to do everything the natural way so the supplement that I will be choosing is the African Mango 1200. It has been used for medicinal purposes in Africa for centuries and has been found to have an awesome effect on weight loss. It works by converting calories into energy which, in turn, causes one to burn more calories for energy and store less calories as excess fat. There are also many more great benefits to African Mango!

Bloggers, you can also join in on the contest by applying here:

As an award to all of my lovely readers who continuously support me, they will be giving me three (3) additional free products for me to giveaway at the end of the challenge! This may either be a ninety (90) day supply for one (1) winner, or a thirty (30) day supply for three (3) winners. We shall see!

This time I decided to jump outside of my box and challenge myself by wearing this to a picnic/BBQ! To my surprise, I got tons of great feedback on this outfit and everyone loved it!

I also posted a YouTube video where you can see me modeling the outfit. It also got tons of awesome feedback!
