Curvy OOTN | How to Style Shorts in Fall

Hello Divas & Gents!

As you can see, I've been making up for my lack of posts by giving you a double dose! I do hope you are enjoying them. My last post of the evening is my most recent fashion video which was posted on my YouTube Channel. Please be sure to SUBSCRIBE if you haven't already!

I joined forces with some of my YouTube sisters, and we decided to do a fall collaboration. This one was quite a challenge for me since I hardly ever wear shorts. Shorts are one piece of clothing that you will hardly ever see me in. I'm happy that I took on this challenge and went out of my box. I got so many compliments and it seems like it was a success. Make sure and let me know what you think down below. Did I nail it? How would you have paired everything?

Color Palette:
Canary Yellow and Black

The Shorts:
NY & Co: The Gramercy Short - Sateen Fabric
Since it is much warmer in fall, I paired these dressy shorts with opaque black tights and black suede/shiny patent leather booties along with a gorgeous canary yellow blazer (thrifted for under $5!)

Early Resolutions| Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale with Electro-Mechanical Weight Dial

Hello Divas & Gents!

I hope this blog post finds you well, and I do hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving! I know I did -- I got to help cook, spend time with family, relax, and of course...eat way too much! Now I must work to get the weight off. Instead of making the dreaded resolution at the top of the New Year, I decided that I'd get off to an early start. I can't say that I've completely lived up to that promise, but I've got a scale to help hold me accountable. I can't say enough about how much I'm loving this Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale. It screams luxury!

It features an electro-mechanical weight dial with an LCD that will automatically light up and display your weight in lbs and kgs. I love the fact that you can use it in the dark, and the large numbers and screen make it so easy for you to read your weight. It is extremely sleek and has a very lightweight design with a retro, yet modern feel. My favorite part of the scale was how easily it calibrated. All I had to do was insert the three (3) triple A batteries (that were provided -- a definite plus), and set the scale on a solid surface. I hopped on the scale, stepped off once, and then got back on. It read my weight like a charm and even displayed for another 10-15 seconds before clearing. This is all part of the Step On Technology which is already incorporated into the scale design. It auto-calibrates to conserve battery life, and the LCD light will turn off on its own as well. There is also another cool feature that I have yet to use. You can program this scale with an alarm which will remind you to weigh yourself. This is perfect for those that have a set schedule of when they need to weigh-in.

I can't think of any added detail that would improve this scale. It's just too phenomenal -- very simplistic, accurate, energy-saving, modern, and reliable. Oh wait, I did forget something. There was one big problem which I forgot to mention, my weight! I will just have to work on that :) Thanks so much for reading, and please check out this scale!

Paparazzi Jewelry!

Hello Divas & Gents!

My jewelry kick is back! I recently heard about this company called Paparazzi jewelry, and decided to check it out. Paparazzi Jewelry is a unique company in a sense that you can sell their jewelry through direct sales, as well as directly purchase jewelry items for yourself. I am definitely interested in adding a few new pieces to my wardrobe!

For those who are interested in the business aspect, I'll quickly give you a run down of how it works. You are considered a Paparazzi consultant and have the ability to purchase Paparazzi Jewelry at wholesale prices and then resell it for $5, which allows you to pay yourself as well as make a profit. You get to keep track of how much you sell and you pocket all of the profit. You are also able to host your own event and jewelry party which can be beneficial since your attendees can see the jewelry first hand. The great thing about this is that you can sell the pieces in a variety of places such as jewelry boutiques, expos, fairs, store booths, and anywhere you can think of. The only place you cannot sell your accessories are online auctions such as Ebay and Amazon. Of course there is other information about this business opportunity on the website, which can be found on www.Debbiesdazzlingdivas.com. I just figured I would share what I read so that you can take advantage of this opportunity and make extra cash.

If you are like me and not completely sure if you are interested in direct sales yet, you can also directly purchase from the Paparazzi site, www.DebsJewelryShop.com. They have tons of jewelry to choose from and our very inexpensive. I have really been into arm candy lately so I've already got my eye on a few things! Make sure and take a look at the website and let me know what you think!

Curvy Diva OOTD | Exotic Peacock

Hey Divas & Gents,

If you know me well, then you know I love to wear BLACK! I decided to break out of my comfort zone and think out of the box and have fun with COLOR! Color blocking is always a great spring and summer trend to have fun with, so you can definitely give this color combination a try! The shirt I have on is from a plus size boutique called KSY Plus (http://www.ksyplus.com) that I just love and adore. It is made out of blended polyester and has a pleated front which is very figure flattering and comfortable for us curvy divas. I paired this magenta/purple blouse with a dynamic shimmery peacock colored skinny jean from Forever 21+. Take a look at the video to see it in motion, and enjoy the snapshots!

AVEENO Intensive Night Cream & My Radiant Dream!

Hey Divas & Gents,

I've gotten the opportunity to review the new Aveeno Intensive Night Cream which happens to come with a handy dandy satin sleep mask :) I don't have much experience using Aveeno, but my best friend swears by it. In fact, Aveeno is the only type of lotion/cream that she can use without experiencing dryness. Because of that, I was already psyched to try the new night cream out.

First things first...the PACKAGING.
I love how nice the box is and how it reflects the "naturals" theme. The actual package of the night cream has a nice green lid and cream colored jar which reflects the box design.

The AVEENO Intensive Night Cream is made of natural ingredients and just feels so pleasant on the face. I can definitely feel a difference in the texture of my skin immediately after putting it on my face. I have noticed that my tone looks a lot clearer in the morning when I wake up and feels firm and soft. I have dark circles and  a few dark spots and it seems to be doing its job of fixing tone, dullness, brown spots, texture, and blotchiness. I'm excited so far and have no complaints! Another great plus is that a little goes a mighty long way...smells great too!

The Aveeno night cream also came with a complimentary face mask. I rarely sleep with a face mask, but I just felt like sleeping beauty in this silky mask. It got me to thinking and dreaming. My radiant dream for 2013 is to do well in all of my endeavors and ventures --- in my personal life and work. I would like to excel and make positive differences in my life and others! Oh yea, and we can't forget about world peace...PEACE!

I hope you enjoyed this quick blog post, and hopefully you try this product out. I'm really loving it so far and definitely recommend it. It is truly becoming a staple in my beauty routine. So simple to just wash my face at night and then apply this cream which literally works overnight :)

Current Fragrance Fave | Christian Dior's Hypnotic Poison

Divas & Gents,

I have really been into fragrances lately! For the past few months, I've been loving Kim K's Gold and Aquolina's Pink Sugar. Both are very different in fragrance, but I love them the same! Kim K's Gold has a mature evening scent with both floral and amber notes which make the perfect combination. Aquolina's Pink Sugar, on the other hand, has a very sweet and romantic scent. It is great for daytime, and has notes of cotton candy, caramel, raspberry, bergamot, licorice, poweder, fig leaves, orange, strawberry, and wood. Sounds crazy, but smells so yummy!

Oh, and the bottle design is just lovely! I love maroon/burgundy paired together -- look so royal :)
Now that I've finally had a chance to ween myself off of those two, I've found a new love which is equally comparable to both. It is Christian Dior's Hypnotic Poison. I normally wouldn't buy a fragrance like this but the name just got me. To my surprise, it is actually a very sexy scent. I've honestly never smelled anything like it. It is truly reminds me of a grown, sexy, and seductive scent that you'd want to wear out on the town for a nice romantic evening. I researched for a long time to see if I would really love it and the ratings were superb. I am definitely happy with my choice and it has become my new favorite for a night out. It has a strong scent of jasmine, with lower tones of amber, almond and woods. You should definitely check this fragrance out if you get the chance. I'm positive that you'd love it!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tars | Swatches

Hey Divas & Gents!

I recorded a video about OCC Lip Tars quite a few months ago and never got to post pictures on my blog. I have had these for over a year and am still loving them! They are very pigmented and a little goes a long way. They remind me of a modern lip stain because they go on like a gloss but have the lasting power of a lipstick. I also love the fact that they are cruelty-free and 100% vegan!

Here's how OCC describes their lip tars:
A stunning new innovation in lip color, OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment - a little goes a very, very long way! An intense yet featherweight layer of color that never looks or feels heavy. Meant to be mixed, Lip Tar comes in concise array of colors for a limitless selection of shades made by you! A simple, elegant formula that contains Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil and Vitamin E, OCC Lip Tar feels as good on the lips as it looks!
This description is perfect because this is the same perception that I get every time I put them on. The only con would be that the pigment separates from the oils after a few months. No worries though -- they still apply well after  a few squeezes.  They have changed the applicator since I've had mine but the product is still the same!

Check out my video to see LIVE swatches. You will love it!

Here are a few snapshots that I've put together to show you the ones that I own. I hope you enjoy!

Anime - Vibrant, Neon Pink
Hoochie - Vibrant Magenta
Katricia (discontinued) - Gorgeous Purple
Melange - Terracotta Neutral
NSFW (Not Safe For Work) - True, Balanced Red
Vintage - Deep True Burgundy
Do you own any OCC lip products? If so, what are your favorite shades? If not, what shade would you like to try? They have tons on their website and even new finishes!

Disclaimer: These products were sent for review consideration. I chose to do a review on the lip tars because I truly enjoy the product!

Nail Polish Addiction | New Additions (Zoya)

Hey Divas & Gents!

You should all know about my nail polish addiction by now, so this post should come as no surprise! Zoya had a great sale a few weeks ago. You could try any three (3) polishes free (with the exception of the new collections), and only pay $10 shipping! That is a steal for Zoya! Most of their polishes are around $8 so it's essentially like getting three (3) for the price of one (1)! I took advantage and got six (6) polishes.

I've been meaning to try the fleck effect polishes so I got the green one in Opal. I also got a gorgeous black holographic micro-diamond glitter called Storm. I also picked up some great metallics and creams. Feast your eyes on these!

L to R: Kimmy, Evvie, Opal, America, FeiFei, and Storm

Kimmy -  "Zoya Nail Polish in Kimmy can be best described as: Gleaming metallic candy apple red brightened by gold sparkle."

Evvie - "Zoya nail polish in Evvie can be best described as: Dark smoky grey cream with strong teal green undertones."

Opal "Zoya Nail Polish in Opal can be best described as a sheer green base with reflective Mylar flakes that shift from bright green to blue.? A fun flake glitter topcoat that can be layered over any shade to create a fascinating 3D effect."

America -  "Zoya Nail Polish in America can be best described as: Bright, bold, medium retro tomato-red creme."

FeiFei -  "Zoya nail polish in FeiFei can be best described as: A medium steel blue base with heavy gold, blue and pink iridescent metallic sparkle."

Storm -  "Zoya Nail Polish in Storm can be best described as a full coverage, holiday black with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter."

You can find out more by visiting Zoya's website: http://www.zoya.com

Did you pick up any polishes from the sale? If so, what colors did you pick up? If not, what color do you think I should use first?

Palmolive Fresh Infusions | First Impressions & Thoughts

Hey Divas & Gents!

I am always washing dishes, so this shipment couldn't have come at a better time! I received these three (3) Palmolive Fresh Infusion dishwashing liquid bottles from Influenster and was so excited when it came in the mail last week. When I first opened the box, I could smell a very strong scent but hadn't even got a chance to take them out yet. The Ginger White Tea had spilled in the box but it didn't bother me because I know how the post office can be at times. The first thing that caught my attention was the cute bottle design! It is so aesthetically pleasing and has such a vibrant look to it. I love the shape of it and I also love the classic spout design. The next thing that drew my attention were the unique and catchy names -- Lime Basil, Lemon Thyme, and Ginger White Tea. They also seem fitting for dishwashing liquid. Not only that, but the colors of each corresponded to my thoughts of each name.

I posted a photo on my Facebook beauty page and got tons of hits. I asked them what they thought my favorite scent would be. The general consensus was that they loved the Lime Basil scent. I tried that one first and it actually lived up to the hoopla. Ironically though, Lemon Thyme stole my heart. I love how refreshing and clean it smells and seems to remind me of fresh citrus.

Palmolive Fresh Infusions seems to be very gentle on the hands, while still cutting the grease. I always use AJAX dishwashing liquid because I love how much it cuts the grime, but Palmolive seems to be working just as fine. It has replaced my AJAX dishwashing liquid for the moment, and I can't wait to use the other Palmolive Fresh Infusions that were sent!

Did you receive this set? Which scent is your favorite? What are your thoughts on Palmolive Fresh Infusions? Would you buy it?

UPDATE | Happy New Year!

Hey Divas & Gents!

I know it's been forever since I've been on my blog, but I promise to do better this year! I hope everyone had a great holiday and is having a great new year so far! I didn't make any resolutions this year -- just goals that I will set out and achieve. I will let you know as I go along this journey.

I have a pretty full plate already and have managed to juggle it all, slowly but surely. Here's a little sneak peek into some things that are preoccupying my time. I am now a YouTube Partner through the FullScreen Beautique Network. I have been a partner since August/September, but have not publicly announced it. I will soon! They reached out to me via email last year, and I have been enjoying every minute of it. I can't say that I like the new YouTube layout though ***chuckles***. I'm also working full time (8a to 5p), still making great strides with my small graphic design business (which is doing very well for the top of the year!), managing Exprimez-Vous Cosmetics, promoting for The iLL Lines (jewelry company), and writing for Under30CEO, just to name a few.

I must say that I am truly blessed and thank God for giving me these opportunities. There are so many things that I want to accomplish and I sometimes struggle to get there, but I know with persistence, it will become a strong reality. I'm rambling now, so let's get back to beauty and fashion :) I will be posting a series of blog posts to make up for lost time. Love you all, and thank you so much for supporting me!!!! I truly appreciate it.
